This 8 nights and 9 days tour covers almost all type of terrains of Kerala. 3 nights at the beautiful hills of Munnar, 2 nights at the Periyar (Thekkady), 1 night at Kumarakom/Alleppey backwaters, 2 nights at the Marari beaches and Fort Kochi tour on the day of departure

Itinerary

Day 1 Proceed to Munnar. Check in to hotel.

Windfort Holiday’s representative will meet and greet you at cochin airport/ railway station. After warm welcome we start our journey to the beautiful land of God- Kerala. We move on to the mind blowing beauty of Munnar hill stations. It will take approximately 4.5 hours to reach Munnar. Check in to hotel. After check in and fresh up, you can either go for sightseeing or simply relax at the hotel. If you opt for sightseeing and the time permits we move on to Eravikulam National park. Eravikulam National Park is a sanctuary set up for the preservation of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. The main inhabitant of the park is Nilgiri Tahr. Now the park has the largest known population of Tahrs existing in the world. The park exhibits the breathtaking natural splendor of rolling grasslands and exotic flowers. Anamudi (2,695 m), the highest peak south of Himalayas, towers over the sanctuary in majestic pride. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 2 Munnar sightseeing.

Open your eyes to the magical landscapes of Munnar. Today proceed for full day Munnar Sightseeing after the breakfast. Visit Photo Point, Jungle Honey Bee Nest, Mattuppetty dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake, tea museum, etc. Overnight stay in Munnar. Munnar: Is one of the most sought after hill stations in Southern India. Its beautiful Mountain slopes and sprawling tea estates have given it the Name of “Tea garden” of Kerala. Mattupetty Dam: The Mattupetty lake and dam is a very beautiful picnic spot. The sprawling Kundala tea plantations and the Kundala lake are other attractions in the vicinity. Echo Point is a popular adventure tourism destination. Trekking and nature walks are popular activities in this scenic destination with beautiful views of the green hills. The fresh mountain air, the mist-clad hills and panoramic view makes it worthy of a visit.

Day 3 Day at Leisure

Relax your mind and body in the lap of nature. Full day at leisure.

Day 4 Proceed to Thekkady…. check-in to Hotel

After your breakfast, we proceed to Thekkady. Approximate travelling time is 4.5 hours. Check in to resort / hotel Enjoy ancient art forms of Kerala “ Kathakali” (dance form) and “ Kalaripayattu” (martial arts) in the evening at a cultural center near to the resort.

Day 5 Thekkady

Full day at thekkady. You can go for optional activities like Spice Plantation visit, Bamboo Rafting, Trekking and Elephant Ride on an extra cost. If you are interested, take a jeep safari Satram/ Parunthumpara or to the boarder villages of Tamilnadu to explore village life. Relax your body through a massage.( All these activities are optional) Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 6 Proceed to Alleppey/ Kumarakom and check in to houseboat

Morning early check out and proceed to Alleppey/ Kumarakam to board the houseboat. A Journey through the curving and winding Kerala backwaters in houseboats (Kettuvallam / Boat House) of Kerala is an experience of returning to nature. Full day cruise and overnight stay on board. Cruise along slowly in these intricate networks of canals (Kayals) passing through villages and paddy fields. Enjoy the cruise in Vembanad Lake, the serene backwaters of Kerala. Check-in to the meandering canals and swinging coconut palms. Witness the paddy fields of Kuttanad, perhaps the only place in the world where cultivation is done at 2 meters below sea-level. An experience to cherish life. Also enjoy freshly cooked Kerala cuisine in the boat. Your private boat will be facilitated with bed rooms, bath rooms, living area, dining and beautiful corridor. The boat will also have a Kitchen that prepares all your meals on board. Overnight stay at houseboat.

Day 7 Marari Beach

The house boat will start cruising again at 8 am and drop you at Alleppey jetty at 9 am.Breakfast will be provided in the houseboat. After checking out from the houseboat, we will proceed to Mararikulam. Check in to hotel or homestay at Marari. Enjoy the clean and serene beach.

Day 8 Marari Beach

Day at leisure. Enjoy the sands.

Day 9 Check out and proceed to Fort Kochi. Drop at Cochin Airport/ Railway station

After check out ,proceed to Cochin. Cochin sightseeing includes fort cochin, navy museum, Chinese fishing net, Santa Cruz basilica, Dutch palace, Jewish synagogue. (Depends on your flight / rail timings.) Our representative will leave you at Cochin Airport/Railway station/Bus stand and will do necessary support there Drive back to your hometown with the sweet memories of Kerala trip with Windfort Holidays

• Any portage at airports and hotels, tips, insurance, wine, mineral water, telephone charges, and all items of personal nature.
• Any services not specifically mentioned in the inclusions.
• Expenses caused by factors beyond our control like rail and flight delays, roadblocks, and vehicle mal-functions, political disturbances etc.
• GST extra @ 5% of the total bill amount.

• 25% hike in package price from 15th December to 15th January
• Houseboat check in at 12 PM and check out next day 9AM
• If mentioned hotels not available at the time of reservation, similar hotels will be provided with your consent
• Prices are based on a minimum of 2 adults travelling together
• Prices are based on Standard Rooms.
• Surcharge is applicable for a passenger travelling alone.
• 'Child Rate' applies to children, between the ages of 5 to 12 years.
• Houseboat day cruise starts at 11 am and finished at 5 pm with Breakfast Lunch and snacks
